Parents and supporters assembled at the Taos Country Club Thursday evening, February 8th, to honor retired Judge Peggy Nelson, and raise funds for the Yaxche School.  Dr. Warren Rosen, a PhD in Neuropsychology from Chicago gave a presentation.  A delicious dinner of beef tenderloin and salmon was enjoyed by all.  Wine for the meal was donated by Bravo! Over 125 teriffic gift items were donated for the Silent Auction, ranging from fine artwork, wine and jewelry to furniture to riding lessons and spa sessions.  Bargains were many to be had, and I sure came home with a fine treasure:  a beautiful new chair and ottoman from FaFa's Fine Furnishings of Taos. 

The Yaxche School is an independent Kindergarten through 8th grade school in Taos. Yaxche is a nonprofit, co-educational school of academic excellence serving over 65 students. Established in 1997, the school's 2.5-acre campus is nestled among the historic adobe buildings in downtown Taos, New Mexico, in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.
